One of my favourite pit shots- I was literally hanging off a speaker for this one!

In case you're wondering why the audience photos are so dramatically different than the band and pit shots- the former were taken available light without flash. Possible because they were stationary enough to allow a slow shutter speed, and the spotlight was aimed directly at them. Whereas the band was moving and the lighting on them was abysmal. I had to use a flash, which removes all ambiance. It was a pretty rough little space so you can't expect much as a photographer, but even the large shows don't accommodate photographers in terms of their choice of filters etc. I prefer not to use flash but necessity dictates.
